50% Face Value
All Forever stamps, including First-Class Forever, Global Forever, 2 Ounce and 3 Ounce Forever stamps.
40% Face Value
Non-Forever stamps over the current First-Class rate, including unused vintage stamps issued after 1930.
30% Face Value
Non-Forever stamps under the current First-Class rate, including unused vintage stamps issued after 1930.
A worked example
A book of 20 Forever stamps has a face value of 20 times the current First-Class rate. At 50% you would be paid half of that. Two hundred loose 15 cent stamps have a face value of $30, and at the 30% rate that is $9. Nothing complicated happens in between. Add up the face value, apply the rate, and you know your number. How Fast You Get Paid
We count and grade your stamps when they arrive and send a Purchase Offer with the exact figure. Nothing is final until you accept it. Once you do, payment is issued by check, PayPal or bank wire. If you decline, your stamps are returned.
Three Steps
- Check the rate. Add up the face value of what you have and apply the percentage above.
- Print the packing slip and ship. Fill out our packing slip, include it with the stamps, and use a service with tracking.

What We Take, and What We Do Not
We take unused U.S. postage in usable condition, at any age, including unused vintage stamps issued after 1930. Bent or partial sheets are fine.
We do not take used or cancelled stamps, foreign postage, or anything marked Bulk-Rate, Nonprofit-Rate, Presort-Rate, Official or Postage Due. Torn, stuck-down and water-damaged stamps cannot be paid for either. Everything we receive is checked for authenticity, because counterfeit Forever stamps are common on websites, eBay and Amazon.
If what you have is older than 1930 or is a collection of cancelled stamps, face value is the wrong measure. Our sister company West Coast Stamps appraises that material instead.
Common Questions
Who gives cash for stamps?
Postage buyers like us, for unused modern stamps. Philatelic dealers and auction houses, for rare and cancelled material. Marketplaces, if you are willing to list and wait. Antique and pawn shops will take almost anything and usually pay the least.
Can I get cash for stamps at the Post Office?
No. USPS does not buy stamps back or refund unused postage. A clerk may swap damaged or misprinted stamps for replacement postage, but no money changes hands.
Is it worth selling a small amount?
That depends on your postage cost to send them in. A handful of stamps rarely justifies the trip. A drawer, a roll, a box from a closed office or an estate usually does. There is no upper limit either way.
