If your postcard is larger than 4.25 x 6 inches, it no longer qualifies for the postcard rate and needs letter postage ($0.82). Postcards going overseas take a Global Forever stamp at $1.75.
Can You Use a Forever Stamp on a Postcard?
Yes. A Forever stamp ($0.82) more than covers the $0.65 postcard rate, but you will not get change back for the 17-cent difference. Postcard stamps exist so you pay exactly what the postcard costs.
